The mission of 21Oak HR Consulting, LLC is to provide high-quality cost-efficient outsourced HR services for small and growing businesses that don't currently employ full-time experienced and credentialed HR staff. With 25 years of HR experience, Jill is a nationally certified Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) and also a Senior Credentialed Professional (SHRM-SCP), the top designation offered by the premier industry organization, the Society for HR Management. A longtime SHRM member, Jill completes over 40 hours per year of continuing education through seminars, workshops and relationships with benefits, payroll and legal providers.
Quoted frequently in the media (Glassdoor, Forbes, Inc., Money, Time, ) as an HR expert and leading seminars on current HR topics, Jill stays on top of the HR trends and labor laws for her clients and her education and expertise provide her clients with the assurance that she is always on top of the ever-shifting requirements and practices of HR.
Jill began her HR career in recruiting and staffing and quickly moved into traditional Field Human Resources, which includes employee relations, documentation and business need assessment. She has created programs for Talent Development and Organizational Development across North America and has traveled the US and Canada delivering Training and Development programs focusing on communications training (featuring Active Listening) and team building and manager training using the DiSC assessment. Jill is also experienced in HR due diligence and transition planning for business mergers and acquisitions.
Jill volunteers in her local community, particularly with charities that benefit infants, children and cancer patients. Winner of 2017 Newburyport Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40 Award, a 2021 Navigator Award from the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry (for services to the community during the early years of the Covid-19 pandemic) and 2021 Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. Wife to Simon and Mom to Henry and, in February of 2016, Jill achieved her dream of becoming a Jeopardy! Champion and longtime host Alex Trebek called her "weird" on national television.
